My week has caught up with me and I am fatigued. My brain doesn’t want to continue thinking, my eyes are tired and my body would just like to rest.
Running out of steam is what it means to be human. Even Jesus, while in human form, felt the limits of fatigue. Here is the condescension of God. The infinite Son endured human limitations, while a man. Look at John 4:6, “Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well . . . ” (John 4:6). Jesus didn’t want to take another step. The demands on His time—the long hours, and the miles of walking—caught up with Him and He rested at the well.
Still when the Samaritan woman arrives, Jesus doesn’t ignore her. And she is so excited about meeting Him that she goes to tell the townspeople of Sychar, and they “made their way toward him” (John 4:30). Jesus, though bound by His human body, completed the hard work of prayer. He didn’t need to make the trip into Sychar: through His intercessory prayer the power of the Spirit was released in the town.
This is why He “had to go through Samaria” (John 4:4). His prayer life had produced a ripe field in the town and it was time to harvest. Prayer transcended His physical limitations and produced God’s divine purpose in Sychar. This was what He taught His disciples, “Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor” (John 4:38). Prayer unleashes the unlimited energy of God.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I pray that You will heal my diseases or sicknesses that I may have, because I feel chills and I feel hot physically, I think I may have fever. I pray for healing that You will heal whatever fever or illnesses I have, cast out all those bad bacterias in my body and so I can go out tomorrow to celebrate my birthday with my family. I pray that I WILL NOT get sick and I know You will heal me and answer my prayers.. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

I just had all four wisdom teeth removed and am in pain. I would appreciate any prayers you all can offer. St. Apollonia is the patron saint of dentists and those suffering from dental problems. Here is a copy of a prayer for her intercession that might be useful to any of you in the future:

I understand I have a problem with having anxiety in a relationship. The uncertainty of dating is often overwhelming and I mistake this anxiety for intuition. I must trust in you God, give me faith and strength to believe and trust in you with my life and relationship. There is fear, but help me overcome this fear and strengthen my relationship with my girlfriend. You are my savior, my guidance, my love, my Heavenly Father. I trust in you with my life. Give me strength to overcome this anxiety and have a beautiful, happy relationship. If we are meant to be, strengthen us to endure the challenges and help us fall deeper in love. Please lord- with all the stress we have- please help us to pass with flying colors on our home inspection. Minor simple fixes are fine, but expensive finds will not be in our favor. We want to be able to have a passing score on everything. Give us an inspector that is fair and kind. Not one that is out to look for many issues. Let the results be in favor of everyone involved. Please help the appraiser see the love and worth of our home and let us profit from what we have done to it. Rosary Prayer Beads
The prayers that comprise the Rosary are arranged in sets of ten Hail Marys, called decades. Each decade is preceded by one Lord’s Prayer and followed by one Glory Be. During the recitation of each set, a thought is given to one of the Mysteries of the Rosary, which recall events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. Five decades are recited per rosary. Other prayers are sometimes added before or after each decade. Rosary beads are an aid towards saying these prayers in the proper sequence.
A standard 15 Mysteries of the Rosary, based on the long-standing custom, was established by Pope Pius V during the 16th century, grouping the mysteries in three sets: the Joyful Mysteries, the Sorrowful Mysteries, and the Glorious Mysteries. During 2002 Pope John Paul II said that it is fitting that a new set of five be added, termed the Luminous Mysteries, bringing the total number of mysteries to 20. These mysteries had been used by Holy Cross Father Patrick Peyton during the 20th century.
The Glorious mysteries are said on Sunday and Wednesday,
the Joyful on Monday and Saturday,
the Sorrowful on Tuesday and Friday, and
the Luminous Mysteries are said on Thursday.
Usually, five decades are recited in a session.

Rosary History
According to pious tradition, the concept of the rosary was given to Saint Dominic in an apparition of the Virgin Mary during the year 1214 in the church of Prouille. This Marian apparition received the title of Our Lady of the Rosary. In the 15th century it was promoted by Alanus de Rupe (aka Alain de la Roche or Blessed Alan of the Rock), a Dominican priest and theologian, who established the “fifteen rosary promises” and started many rosary confraternities.

According to Catholic tradition, prayers to Saint Anthony were to request his aid particularly in finding lost articles. St. Anthony was known as a great preacher and theological instructor. His sermons were so inspiring that his fame spread throughout France and Italy in the ten years before his death. Saint Anthony was known the “hammer of heretics” for his devotion to the faith. Pope Gregory IX, who canonized him as a saint in 1232, called him “The Ark of the Covenant.” He is especially regarded all over the world as the patron saint for the recovery of lost items and is credited with many miracles involving lost people, lost things and even lost spiritual goods.

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Otherwise known as the Universal Prayer or General Intercessions, these prayers are introduced by the celebrating priest, then a deacon or another member of the congregation or the priest himself proposes a number of intentions to pray for, and the people respond with a short invocation such as “Lord, hear our prayer”. Finally, the priest says a concluding prayer.
In the General Intercessions or the Prayers of the Faithful, the people respond in a certain way to the word of God which they have welcomed in faith and, exercising the office of their baptismal priesthood, offer prayers to God for the salvation of all. It is fitting that such a prayer be included, as a rule, in Masses celebrated with a congregation, so that petitions will be offered for the holy Church, for civil authorities, for those weighed down by various needs, for all men and women, and for the salvation of the whole world.
The custom of offering such prayers is rooted in the scripture from 1 Timothy 2:1-6:
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony to which was borne at the proper time.

Saint Michael the Archangel held an important heavenly role in doing battle against evil, protecting Christians against assault from the devil. The prayer to Saint Michael originated with Pope Leo XIII in 1886. Legend has it that the Pope received a vision in which he saw the great damage Satan would do to the Church and the world in the 20th century.

Pope Leo XIII called out to St. Michael for protection from the evil to come:

be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, cast into hell
Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Inspiring Performance of the Prayer to Saint Michael
Variant English translations have “Holy Michael”, “Saint Michael”, “malice and snares”, “may God rebuke him”, “cast into Hell”, “all evil spirits”, “prowl through the world seeking the ruin”, and other differences. The English translation that was used in Ireland is quoted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses.
Sunday 24 April 1994, Pope John Paul II recommended its use, saying:
May prayer strengthen us for the spiritual battle that the Letter to the Ephesians speaks of: ‘Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might’ (Ephesians 6:10). The Book of Revelation refers to this same battle, recalling before our eyes the image of St Michael the Archangel (cf. Revelation 12:7). Pope Leo XIII certainly had this picture in mind when, at the end of the last century, he brought in, throughout the Church, a special prayer to St Michael: ‘Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil…’ Although this prayer is no longer recited at the end of Mass, I ask everyone not to forget it and to recite it to obtain help in the battle against the forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world.
Pope Leo XIII granted indulgences to bishops and to priests lawfully authorized by their ordinaries who each day would devoutly recite a formula of exorcism against Satan and the rebel angels.
The formula of exorcism, which was then inserted into the Roman Ritual contained within it a quite different prayer to Saint Michael, of which the following is an English translation:

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
O glorious Archangel St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, defend us in battle, and in the struggle which is ours against the principalities and Powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against spirits of evil in high places (Eph 6:12). Come to the aid of men, whom God created immortal, made in his own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil (1 Cor 6:20).
Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there a place for them any longer in Heaven. But that cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan, who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with all his angels (Rev 12:7-9).
Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of man has taken courage, Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of his Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory.
This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.
These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions (Lam 3:15).
In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most blessed Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.
Arise then, O invincible prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and bring them the victory.
The Church venerates thee as protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious powers of this world and of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude.
Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.

In 1902, a year and a half before the death of Pope Leo XIII, a new edition of the Roman Ritual considerably shortened the formula as a whole and in particular the prayer to Saint Michael within it, making that prayer a sort of preface to the prayer of exorcism. The prayer was shorn of the preceding version’s paragraphs 2-6 and of the phrase “in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious powers of this world and of hell” in paragraph 7.
In his English version of the Roman Ritual, Philip T. Weller gives the following translation:

St. Michael the Archangel, illustrious leader of the heavenly army,

Come to the rescue of mankind, whom God has made in His own image and likeness, and purchased from Satan’s tyranny at so great a price. Holy Church venerates you as her patron and guardian. The Lord has entrusted to you the task of leading the souls of the redeemed to heavenly blessedness. Entreat the Lord of peace to cast Satan down under our feet, so as to keep him from further holding man captive and doing harm to the Church. Carry our prayers up to God’s throne, that the mercy of the Lord may quickly come and lay hold of the beast, the serpent of old, Satan and his demons, casting him in chains into the abyss, so that he can no longer seduce the nations.

Oh most noble Prince of the Angelic Hierarchies, valorous warrior of Almighty God and zealous lover of His glory, terror of the rebellious angels, and love and delight of all the just angels, my beloved Archangel Saint Michael, desiring to be numbered among your devoted servants, I, today offer and consecrate myself to you, and place myself, my family, and all I possess under your most powerful protection.
I entreat you not to look at how little, I, as your servant have to offer, being only a wretched sinner, but to gaze, rather, with favorable eye at the heartfelt affection with which this offering is made, and remember that if from this day onward I am under your patronage, you must during all my life assist me, and procure for me the pardon of my many grievous offenses, and sins, the grace to love with all my heart my God, my dear Savior Jesus, and my Sweet Mother Mary, and to obtain for me all the help necessary to arrive to my crown of glory.
Defend me always from my spiritual enemies, particularly in the last moments of my life.
Come then, oh Glorious Prince, and succor me in my last struggle, and with your powerful weapon cast far from me into the infernal abysses that prevaricator and proud angel that one day you prostrated in the celestial battle. Amen.

Almighty Father,please hear my prayer.

Lord, I thank you for taking good care of me. There is something I like you to do for me. Make me strong mentally to think on the positive, so no one could intervene with the relationship I have with you. Break the curse of not prospering that some people wish on me. Lord, you know my heart. I want to be a blessing to my family and the same time take care of myself. Father God, when I do take care of myself let me be a strong pillar so no one will interfere with the progress I have with you. I want you to heal me from the emotional attacks that I get from people who think that I ‘m not strong enough for the job. I love you Lord and I know that all things are possible through Jesus Christ who strengthens me. There is no one like you. We raised your Lord our Sister Patsy who will undergo corneal transplant today, that may this procedure will be a success towards healing. We believe oh Lord of your healing power and you will guide and give her surgeon a steady hand during the surgery. We also ask you to give Ate Patsy comfort and she will feel any paid during the procedure and we ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Let us continue to pray for Haiti years after the terrible January 12th, 2010 earthquake.
This beautiful country and it’s people have been changed forever and continue to need our prayers.
May God continue to bless the people of Haiti.

Lord thank you for blessing me with opportunities and abilities beyond my expectations. I am praying that you bless me and others who have reached financial dilemmas. I pray that you bless me suddenly because i am running out of ways to be financially stable. You know i face mental illness so extreme i get tired of living, but i hold on to hope and I hope and pray for this blessing because it will help me to prosper and to help others (though I struggle with this because you know i don’t want to be taken advantage of and mistreated and later misunderstood) and not be so stuck. My mother is going to have a surgery tomorrow morning. I hope that everything goes well and the operation becomes successful and my mom restores her good health. Dear Jesus, you have said: Truly I say to you if you ask anything of the Father in my name He will give it to you. Heavenly Father I ask in the name of Jesus for all the black magic on me and my family to be removed and the witches controlling my husband for what they did to be removed from him, and my marriage restored and me and my children healed and restored and for everyone who is working with evil to be blocked from our lives permanently. For all the evil people to get out of my husbands life and for him to turn to Jesus and be saved and for him to stay away from witches and not call them and do evil anymore. For me and my family to be healed and restored back to 100% and for love to come back into my home and family and marriage. For my husband to stop having affairs and love and honor me and his children with me.
Heavenly Father Author of Life, Healer of Wounds, Source of Abundance, Unconditional Love and Mercy, please hold Gifto (manoj) , who has met with an accident yesterday , in the palm of your hand and look at his Brain, eyes more closely, examine it, heal it, strengthen the weak parts, reconnect the areas that are loose, mend it and make his teeth , jaws new again.
Please direct, guide and bless the hands, minds, eyes, and instruments of the team of professionals, the anesthesiologists, specialized nurses, medical attendants assigned to do the surgery today and every person that touches him. Invite them to focus their minds to the tasks at hand and make each one of them perform their assigned tasks O Lord perfectly and precisely attuned to your command as the Great Conductor, Divine Healer and Comforter.
O Holy Spirit and Comforter breathe love and peace to the family and love ones, that they may continue to feel your warmth and love on this day of the surgery. Assure them that Gifto (manoj) will be healed fast and soon as he will continue to serve you in the ministry you called him to do for the proclamation of Christ goodness, grace and mercy.
We call on the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary, all the angels and saints in heaven, especially St. Monica today. We lift up our prayers in the Name of God the Father, God the Son, in union with God the Holy Spirit who lives forever and ever. Amen
