Dear St. Jude,
I pray for everyone & everything experiencing any pain or suffering of any kind. I pray that we become free of our burdens and instead feel the peace and love of God. Please lift us up, guide us and allow us to gain strength from the knowledge that we are never alone and that one day our trials will end & we will enter God’s kingdom. That day will be like nothing we’ve ever experienced before, a paradise, better than anything we can imagine. While we are here on earth, waiting to go back to our true home, please help us to be as loving as possible to ourselves and each other. Please help heal our world and all of us in it.
I pray a special prayer for everyone posting on this board, that our prayers are granted and our heartache is lessened. I pray that those of us praying for healing will be healed, those of us praying for love will find love, those of us praying for fertility will have children, those of us praying for prosperity will gain finances, those of us praying for strength will be empowered, those of us praying for relationships will experience loving reunion & reconciliation, those of us praying for protection will find safety, and those of us praying for answers will find guidance. I also pray for the personal prayers in the silence of our hearts. In my case, this includes total healing, loving reunion with a lost friend, reconcilation with those I’ve hurt & those who’ve hurt me, and a loving marriage. Praying the Hedge of Protection
One of the most common ways Christians pray for protection, is to ask God to erect a hedge of protection around whatever it is you want to protect.
Lets go over the origin of the hedge of protection, and then learn how to pray for the safety
of the ones we love by invoking the idea of a spiritual hedge to provide safety from evil.
The Hedge of Protection in the Scriptures
There are many instances in the scriptures where
a hedge is described as a means of protection. Perhaps the most famous comes from the book of Job.
After God boasts to the Devil about Jobs goodness, the Devil insists that Job is only good because
God has been protecting job; shielding him from the dangers of the world with a hedge of protection:
” Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?
Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” [Job 1:10]

So, this is the first evidence in the bible that
God can sometimes choose to protect certain individuals.
The language of the hedge is perhaps a little odd for the modern reader. Why a hedge?
Certainly there are better edifices to provide protection than a hedge. Why not a wall with barbed wire?
Yet, this isnt the only instance in the bible where a hedge is described as a good barrier.
“Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?”
[Psalms 80:12]
“The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns:
but the way of the righteous is made plain.” [Proverbs 15:19]

This is just the beginning. There are many other examples throughout the bible.
So, why a hedge?
We may not know exactly why, but the difference between a hedge and a wall is that a hedge is alive.
Whereas a wall is erected and slowly deteriorates over time, a hedge is a living thing,
that with proper care and attention will only grow thicker and stronger over time.
I believe that prayer is exactly the care and attention
we need to give in order to receive Gods blessings and protection.
The Hedge of Protection Prayer
How does one pray using the hedge of protection?
Its simple. You simply invoke the hedge when asking for protection from God.
Why do this?
What I like about praying with the hedge of protection is that
it invokes the vernacular of the bible. It shows that Ive read and understood the biblical texts.
Lets go over a sample prayer:
Dear Father,
Thank you for the blessings youve bestowed on me.
You are the protector and the light. In this time of need, my child has been involved
with peers who donot share the Christian values that we hold so dear.
In your name I pray for a hedge around my child to protect her from these evil forces that are at work.

Prayer for my wife’s forgiveness for breaking her trust in me
Heavenly Father,
I pray to you for Your forgiveness for having destroyed my wife’s faith and trust in me. I have committed adultery in her eyes, and in my heart, by seeking companionship in internet chat rooms. I have let my addiction to the internet ruin our marriage.
We had been emotionally distant from each other for the past several months and I would go online in search of needing to feel wanted. Although I did not commit sins of the flesh with anyone since we have been together, I have committed sins of the heart that I want to atone for.
I am wrong for having hurt her so and I am deeply ashamed of myself. I should have given her my full attention as a loving husband should do. I pray to you for Your forgiveness and I ask that you speak gently to my wife’s heart so that she will know that I am truly sorry for what I have done.

She has left our home and is living apart from me. She says that she needs time but doesn’t know if she wants to help save our marriage. I come before to give You thanks for everything that You have done, everything that You are doing and everything that You will do in my life. Mighty God I ask you to restore my friendship with my unrequited love. Please open his heart and allow him to remember I tried to be a good friend to him always, and my care and concern for him were always genuine. Dear Lord I am asking for a reconciliation in my friendship. At the moment the situation DOES seen impossible, but I know You have plans for me, and I’m holding faith that those plans don’t include the recriminations, self-doubt, loneliness and grief his loss has resulted in and its negative impact on my daily life. Should You Pray for Your Enemies?
Many people wonder, should you pray for your enemies? When we have been hurt, it is easy to think harmful thoughts towards another. We can become full of blame and hateful feelings, even wanting to cause revenge.
It can become easy to get stuck in the pain once we have been hurt by another, yet the proper way is to pray for your enemies.
Living a Life of Love like Jesus
As Christians, we are guided to follow in the strong footsteps of Jesus. Molded by unconditional love, he forgave people for being human. One aspect of humanity is the ability to harm others. We cannot escape that others do bad things, but we can choose how we react. As Jesus said, A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (John 13:34).
Jesuss example teaches us of a strong individual who saw others weakness and was not controlled by them. When someone persecutes us, it is easy to have a mean thing to say in return. Jesus calls us to a different path in which we first offer acceptance towards anothers faults. He also teaches not to take the blame on and think self-hating thoughts. Instead, we are asked to love and accept others as they are.
Handling Conflict Responsibly
Loving others is not easy, especially if they are harming us. It can be really easy to feel like you want to fight and get justice from another. We can come to wallow in the pain, but that is not the life Jesus called for us. But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28).
When people are engaged in conflict, often the conflict increases because each side is trying to get their way. Maybe one person wants to stop being talked down to, while the other wants to talk down to that person. Jesus taught to seek understanding with the person. Instead of being hurt and reacting, understand that the person wants to harm you and accept that.
When you see someone as they are, you stop trying to fight and change them and have time to focus on yourself and your life. God wants great things for your life, not constant struggle. Yet, sometimes we need to learn how to detach and focus on what we desire and hope for.

Detaching from Conflict
Many self-help books teach the idea of detachment. This means that we detach from the conflict and stop trying to get someone to be what we need to feel better about ourselves. Jesus is teaching this same philosophy when he says to love your enemies, because when you detach you stop trying to control outcomes. You accept the situation as it is, and can even come to feel good will towards others you are in conflict with.
All hope is not lost when you detach, however. As Jesus instructed, But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28). The reason for prayer is to mentally wish good towards those who need help and to place the outcome in Gods hands. Some people will not hear you if you ask them to stop persecuting you. In this case, so many get caught in a battle to change how another is behaving. With prayer, we can take focused action to allow God to grant the other what he or she needs to change.
Sometimes life can be full of chaos and pain. No matter what our circumstances, we always choose how we feel. Through Jesuss guidance, we learn to accept situations as they are and offer love towards others, while praying for another to change. As many self-help books teach, when we detach from the outcome, we have time to tend to our needs. Often the situation will then resolve itself when we are not putting pressure on it to resolve.

Prayer For healing of nerve damage
I’ve somehow damaged certain nerves affecting my right hand and arm mostly, little to the left, which has tingling and numbness, functionality is difficult, pressure pain sometimes occurs, and I can feel temperature but not certain external pressure and minimal in textures. This has spread somewhat to my stomach and right leg/foot.
I just want to return to normal and be able to write cursive, cup hands for water, type, draw, engage in sports, tie shoes, shave, brush, and grasp things again.
I would like to pray for all who have the same afflictions in nerves. Because it’s the little things taken for granted that we miss most. A return of those. I pray for happiness to return and those hobbies cherished to be able to be fully experienced again.
That these times are only a test of trust in God and are in no shape or form a hinderance for the life and missions planned for us. Amen.
