We are doing the Chemo here @ home. As you know, Lord, Paul is a man of GOD. We ask LORD TO POUR YOUR BLOOD OVER OUR HOME & KEEP US SAFE, so that we may go back & forth to all 25 radiation treatments ^ the Chemo will reduce the tumor, so Paul may be able to have the much needed surgery to correct this evil disease. Deliverance and Protection

Prayer request for my 3 year old daughter who is being attacked and tormented by a spiritual husband and night demons that come and sleep with her.Worst is we are leaving with a flat mate by the name of Mathapelo Nale S who is also attacking my child with this things and bewitching us. She even mocks us on calls on how she is attacking us. Even at my work place they are attacking my child with the same things of sleeping with things at night.I recall during my first week of work how my manager once said both my daughter and I don’t know these spiritual spouses and later on she started getting attacked. As we speak I am constantly in pain watching how my child will just play with her private part and cry of pain afterwards because of this things that come to her.

Lord, I am asking you for complete health restoration. I know I am in my 60’s, but I believe you have more life for me to LIVE. But I need better health. Origin and History

Hail Holy Queen was introduced in its current form at the Abbey of Cluny in the 12th century, where it was used as a processional chant on Marian feasts. The Cistercians sang the Salve Regina daily from 1218. It was popular at medieval universities as an evening song, and according to Fr. Juniper Carol, it came to be part of the ceremony for the blessing of a ship. While the hymn was featured largely in liturgical and in general popular Catholic devotion, it was particularly beloved by sailors.

In the 18th century, the Salve Regina served as the outline for the classic Roman Catholic Mariology book The Glories of Mary by Saint Alphonsus Liguori. In the first part of the book Alphonsus, a Doctor of the Church discusses the Salve Regina and explains how God gave Mary to mankind as the “Gate of Heaven”.

Hail Holy Queen has been featured in the 1992 comedy film Sister Act, starring Whoopi Goldberg. In the movie, the hymn is first sung in the traditional style, before changing into an uptempo, soul, and gospel music-influenced arrangement.

An Act of Contrition is a type of Christian prayer that demonstrates repentance for sins. It may be used in a liturgical service or privately, primarily in connection with an inspection of conscience.

The Act of Contrition in Catholicism

The Act of Contrition is part of the Sacrament of Penance and is prayed by the penitent following the priest assigning penance and before giving the penitent absolution. It is also generally said before one goes to bed at night.

It is commonly thought that individuals might have recourse to an Act of Contrition when they are in extremis, which means “In the last extreme, a person at the point of death when all positive ecclesiastical laws are subordinated to the primary responsibility of preparing the one dying for entrance into eternity.” The prayer declares in words a deeply personal “act” that involves a person’s heart and will.

As written in the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1430-31,

“Jesus’ call to conversion and penance, like that of the prophets before Him, does not aim first at outward works, ‘sackcloth and ashes, ‘ fasting and mortification, but at the CONVERSION OF THE HEART, INTERIOR CONVERSION. Without this, such penances remain sterile and false; however, interior conversion urges expression in visible signs, gestures, and works of penance.

Interior repentance is a radical reorientation of our whole life, a return, a conversion to God with all our heart, an end of sin, a turning away from evil, with repugnance toward the evil actions we have committed. At the same time, it entails the desire and resolution to change one’s life, with hope in God’s mercy and trust in the help of His grace.”

Meaning of the Angelus Prayer

The Angelus Prayer conveys the message from the angel Gabriel to Mary declaring God’s plan for her life. This was a crucial moment in mankind’s fate, where Mary’s yes to God began Christ’s work of salvation for humanity. Praying the Angelus prayer is unique because we say it at specific times of the day, bringing our minds and hearts to Christ throughout the day.

In the Angelus prayer, we observe and emulate Mary’s example of devotion to God’s will. In fact, all of mankind’s salvation depended on the moment where “the Word became flesh.”

History of the Angelus Prayer

The Angelus prayer began as a way for workers to pray in the evening, at the conclusion of their workday. It would regularly correspond with monks praying their Evening Prayer. At first, this prayer solely involved three Hail Marys to praise the Annunciation.

By the first decades of the 14th century, praying the 3 Hail Marys at dusk grew to be quite popular. It was even promoted and gratified by Pope John XXII. Catholic tradition suggests that the original author of the Angelus prayer was Benedetto Sinigardi.

The ringing of the Angelus bells preceded the prayer to inform people that it was time to pray. Soon this also included praying both in the morning and at midday. Although not all of the devoted could pray the Liturgy of the Hours like the monks, they could still include this prayer throughout their day.

Please pray for my son Nathaniel Foster. He was hit by a car in 2016 while walking which rendered him a quadriplegic ventilator dependent/paralyzed from the next down at age 19. Lord, even though I woke up with the same troubles I had yesterday, I know there is great power in my choices. So today, dear God, once again, I choose to listen for your voice above everything else. Prayers for good weather on my wedding day.

I know I shouldn’t look at the weather over a month away, but I couldn’t help myself and peeked…it was not good. My fiancé and I are getting married October 24th. We are planning an outside wedding. We have a backup plan, but the location is ideal for good weather. Honestly, if it rains it’ll just be a mess and that much more stressful. I’ve been dreaming about this day since I was a little girl. I can remember dressing up often and “walking down the aisle” (the hallway in my parents home). Dear God

I humbly ask that you remove the person who has been toxic at my work place. She continues to bring others down in a passive aggressive manner and glorifies herself.

My those who are unaware of her true intentions be blessed with your protection and bring whatever negativity she says to light.

Book publication

As the current devotional about obeying God, I too, was led to write a book. It is in the middle of going through all the publisher’s steps, and I am praying this will totally amaze people as God wrote this story that should be a movie. I am struggling financially until royalties start to come in and ask that God will provide for the several things that broke in my house and car repairs that have been put on the credit cards. Also, have health needs to be met for my husband and son, both disabled and in great pain.

Shattered heart

Thanks in advance. My heart is full and broken. I’ve been in a relationship with someone for almost a year. We’ve expressed our feelings and commitment to each other. We had been living together for a few months. Well, he was offered a job in Virginia. Well, I am having a extremely difficult time dealing with him leaving. I cry and cry myself sick. All kinds of what if’s and what not. I’m so afraid that he’s not only leaving the state. But, that he has left me. I try calling him and it goes straight to voicemail. Employment breakthrough

I’m Ayubu Gideon Menyo from Tanzania man of God please help me to pray for permanent job. When I apply job to different institutions I always get temporary job (three to six months). Chronic Ego Flare-up – Monday, August 12th, 2019

There are days I get Chronic Ego Flare-up (CEF), a condition in which my ego starts screaming for attention. My whacked-out ego seizes my thoughts and badgers my mind with rantings, grumblings and complaining. Suddenly, I am de- bating myself about my pay scale at work and whether I am being paid what I am worth. Or I am eager for credit for my smallest accomplishment. During this time I even wonder if I was put on earth to do much greater things than coach. The issues that come to my mind are not usually things I think about except when I am having a CEF attack.

My inflated ego means I have decided to govern my own thoughts, words and deeds and to ignore the claim Christ has on my life. In other words, when my ego goes postal I am stag- ing a coup against God for control of my life. I have yet to discover what triggers these flare-ups; I do know the remedy is Christ’s cross.

As my sinfulness escalates, God in Christ shows me His cross. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, I am made aware of Christ’s sacrifice on my behalf. The Spirit awakens me to Jesus’ absolute submission to God and the glory the Son brought to the Father through His death on the cross. After Judas left the Passover meal to betray Jesus, Jesus said to the disciples, “Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him” (John 13:31).

When the Spirit leads me to Christ’s cross, my ego is abased; then I submit to God’s authority over my life.

A Prayer for Those Who Are Ill with Coronavirus

Father God,

You are the ultimate Healer. Father, we come before You to pray for those infected with this virus. We pray for not only their healing but for them to be comforted while they heal. Lord, please eradicate every ounce of this virus from their bodies. Please heal every cell in their bodies, every infected part of their being. We pray for no lasting effects in their bodies from this illness. Father, please heal them inside and out and provide them with the medical care they need, with the medications they need, and with the healing not only physically but spiritually so that they may live life and life abundantly ahead.

A Prayer for Those Who Are Worried about the Spread of the Coronavirus

Father,

Worry and fear are not of Your heart. 1 John 4 reminds us that perfect love casts out all fear, and we pray Your perfect love upon the hearts of all those who are burdened with the fear of this virus. Lord, we know with no doubt that You are bigger than the threat of anything, especially illnesses. Please comfort those who are living in fear, please free them from the bondage that anxiety creates within. Remind them that You are still on the Throne and that You are still in control. Fully rain down the serenity that comes only from the Prince of Peace. Help those who are living in unease to trust You in this time so that in times to come we may rest assured that You will be faithful to be with us until the end of the age. We rest at the Throne of the Almighty such fears and cast them upon You (1 Peter 5:7), for Your burden is Light and Your Yoke is easy (Matthew 11:30), we know You cover us with Your wings (Psalm 91:4).

A Prayer for Those Treating the Sick

Father,

We come to pray for those who are caring for the sick. It takes a kind and selfless heart to care for those who are sick, and so Father we pray for them. We pray that You would be their source of rest, their source of replenishment when weary, and their source of hope in such overwhelming times. Lord we know in Luke 6:38 that whosoever pours out shall be given back in proportion, so we pray blessings upon these caregivers. We also pray for their health that they may not fall ill. Father protect them with a hedge of protection against the germs of coronavirus and help those who are giving to be protected as they nurse others back to health. Bless them, oh Lord.
