I was fired for disability discrimination from a job I held for 5 yrs and was highly valued. In order for them to justify my termination, they began to shred my performance and character. However, nothing was ever written down, nor were corrective actions implemented. I was never given an email or piece of paper detailing these supposed deficiencies. My attorney has spent the better part of a year seeking an amicable settlement through mediation. My former employer and their attorney have been anything but cooperative. They now have refused mediation and have offered a very low-ball settlement, stating they have new damning evidence against me which they haven’t shared. Based upon their history of using smoke and mirror tactics, they will not share this information in time for this Friday, May 26th deadline for me to take or leave the low-ball offer or engage in the grueling and expensive arbitration process. They are doing this to avoid having to respond to the charges of disability discrimination from the EEOC which is due at the end of the month. My health has further deteriorated in the past year. I am physically, emotionally and financially unable to take part in arbitration. I need the settlement to live on while I apply for Social Security Disability. Please pray to block the schemes of the Enemy. Please pray for provision and protection. Please pray for a miracle to happen before the Friday, May 26th deadline.
