My son Kenneth Colaco, mentally affected from age of 17 (presently 38 years) is in hospital affected with Schizophrenia for the last 22 years. Medications are not working and voices are tormenting him to such an extent to skip even all his meals, improper hygiene etc. To add to this mental sickness, he is unable to control sexual impulses and ends up staring at females. He is presently an NCR (Not Criminally Responsible) in the hospital in a forensic medium security. The hospital is now trying to get rid of him with an rigorous attempts to transfer him to DSO (Developmental Services of Ontario) which again we are helpless as this step with take away his hospital medical treatments. The doctor in charge is very rude and does not allow his parents to speak during the hospital meetings.
The matter is so complex that we are at a breaking point and frustrated in life as we are WAITING on the Lord to answer our prayers for the last 22 years. We are plagued not only for Kenneth’s mental illness Schizophrenia but also concerned of the Hospital moves to transfer or get rid of him. We know that Hospital decisions always wins but God is on the throne who is our only hope.
