I’m asking for prayer this coming Mother’s Day, I lost my mother last year to cancer & I never got to say goodbye so this is going to be a hard day. We were VERY close. I have kids myself so I try to put on a brave face. God knows my heart. I’m 4 yrs almost sober, in recovery & I work at a women’s sober living facility & always trying to help them in any & every way possible, by nature, I am a giver I give & give but sometimes I’m so mentally exhausted. I know in my heart I’ve got to start allowing myself to heal properly & make sure self care is somewhere on that agenda too! bc if I dnt take care of myself, I won’t be no good for my kids & my clients. It’s easy saying this but doing it, is another thing! I feel as if this is my purpose in life, God has been so good to me & with me every step of the way!! but I’m human of course so I have my days 😔 I also ask you to pray for my brother, he’s going thru a difficult time right now with the loss.
