My husband died a year ago. April 10th is my birthday and my friends wanted to throw me a surprise bday party to cheer me but My mentor and friend is Jane Goodall, and I thought she and her vp (who i love) wanted me to have a joint bday celebration at my home. I gave Jane a party a few years ago and it was amazing but a huge amount of work. Now her vp tells me that they want to invite 60 of Janes friends and I can see it’s not about me at all but ill be doing all the work.
I guess I can throw a party that I’d love and have me friends too but Im confused and feeling a little used by my wonderful friends team.
