My husband and I had struggled through a number of challenges (health, finances and work). We finally got a breakthrough with new job offers in another country. He got his work visa within 5 days. However, I haven’t and it’s been 35 working days with no feedback from the embassy despite my inquiries. On the day of my application, I was told that the chances were unlikely because I’m Ugandan “What makes me think that I’m better than an Indian teacher?” I have the correct qualifications and experience. I’m leaving separately from my husband at a friend’s place as my husband had to move already. I feel I’ve overstayed my welcome but I’ve no other place to go until my visa is granted and my passport is returned to me. It is an excruciating waiting period that I want to end. Please pray for me.
