Dear God
I come to you broken and lonely, missing my partner of 61 years. I know he is released from his earthly suffering but I feel so terribly alone. Selfishly I wish him back. But I really know I am not alone and he is in a better place. You are here with me, you will help carry me through this lonely time. Help me feel your loving presence, I know you are the light of the world, and only the light can drive out this darkness that I feel. I pray for strength to hold onto your promise that you are always with us, In Jesus name, amen
