A couples addiction to drugs is having an impact on 4 generations. They are now divorced but the impact of their lifestyle has been horrendous. The woman was raised in church and was a very good student until she became involved with him and family members who all became involved with drugs. Their 21 year old son has had issues with drugs and has developed a mental health problem and is having to live with his grandparents. Their 20 year old daughter has also followed their path into drugs. She has split up with her boyfriend and has now lost her baby to state custody. The only people willing to help the son is his grandparents. Not especially hard. He is 21 and gradually improving. Now the grandparents are being asked to become the foster parents to the 1 year old great grandchild. It’s that are take the risks of the foster system. They are healthy and active so they are going to take him. They have other children who have done well and didn’t go down the path to drugs and may one of them may eventually be able to take the child but the grandparents were already approved. Please pray for this family. I hope no one has deal with the problems of drugs. It doesn’t just affect the individual. Thank you.
