We pray that our daughter who just graduated from high school with high honors and is leaving for college next month can get her life together. She has fallen in with a group of girls and are vaping, staying out late, and wearing skimpy clothing and who knows what else. She has absolutely no respect for my husband and I and treats us like we are horrible people. We try so hard to just have some small talk with her and she tells us she doesn’t want to talk and leave her alone. She was our granddaughter and at a very young age we adopted her and her brother because their parents were not able to take care of them any longer because of drug addiction. We felt this was a Blessing God had given us and spent our time with them teaching them, showing them new places and things etc. and teaching them about God and thanking God for all the Blessings He has given them and us. She has lost her faith and the angelic altar server and her beliefs have gone. once she turned 18 she feels she can come and go as she pleases and we have no right to interfere because she is now an adult and can do as she pleases. She has a foul language and bad attitude to us. We are both 76 and have health issues and this attitude is so hard for us to handle. We have been taking her to therapy for a long time and we have been told we have given her good values and morals and we have to trust that she will come around. It is so hard for us to be treated this way and knowing the direction she is going in is so scary to us. We are praying for her daily. She had such a wonderful future ahead of her with a full scholarship and a career path that she was so excited to follow. We are so stressed that she will keep all of these new habits in college and get in with a crowd like she is in now and lose everything she worked so hard to get. our doctors tell us we have to stop worrying about her because it is taking a Toll on us medically. My husband is doing better with this than I am. I trust that God has a path for her but right now her path is out of control. As hard as I try I can’t help but worry and keep stressing myself out which leads to more medical problems. Please pray for our daughter and for my husband and me.
