A simple prayer

by Age ()

Day 11
Bible Verse: “Don’t scold your children so much that they become discouraged and quit trying.” (Colossians 3:21).
There is a fine line when it comes to parenting. Not only do you have to be patient with your children, but you have to have kindness in your heart towards them. There is not a child on earth that does not need encouragement to be the best they can be. If you constantly provoke your children, they would grow to have no hope in themselves. They would lose their self-confidence in themselves. When this happens, they would develop an insecurity that no one can heal, except the Lord Himself. Wouldn’t you rather built a firm foundation with your children and have them grow to be strong men or women someday? What parent would do that to their children? To not let them grow to develop a confident character about themselves. Why should we fill our children with doubt of their capabilities, unless we as parents are insecure ourselves? Let us pray: Dear Lord, help our children grow to be a good example for You. May they grow confident and secure in themselves and have a great character in You. Amen.
