She’s had a rough time- more “bad luck” than most people can imagine. Years of an unfaithful husband who was diagnosed with ALS two weeks after she saw him with yet another woman. Unfortunately for her, she chose to take care of him through his illness, knowing the other woman and his sister (the only family he had) would not help. Even then, during the 2 years he got sicker, and she cleaned up his mess, he continued his efforts to destroy her and fail his children by changing bank accounts, beneficiaries, etc. using adaptable computer equipment. We found emails after his death that indicated he clearly hated her. I do not understand God- why didn’t he just leave? Why work so hard to hurt your wife and children right up to his last breath, knowing they were suffering and would suffer more after finding out how he wanted to leave them nearly destitute? Please give my sister and briefed and nephews strength and your peace. Help them realize you are there for them. And please- help them gain stability financially and emotionally. Thank you God for what you’ve given me- Amen
Return to A Prayer for Peace of Mind
I’m so sorry for everything your sister and her family have gone through. This sounds like such a devastating situation. It made me feel angry just reading about it. I am not sure why your sister’s husband did these things. He must have been filled with such anger and hatred. I am praying for you, your sister and her family, that all of you would find peace and to one day be able to let go and forgive that man for what he did. I know that I personally wouldn’t be able to do, unless I leaned heavily on the Lord. God only knows how difficult it is for me to let things go. But in Him, anything is possible. I pray that financially, the Lord will illuminate a way for your needs to be met.
This broke my heart because my mother went through the same with dad. He came around after his HIV diagnosis though and resumed his responsibilities as a father and husband. Doctors had predicted 3weeks for him to live. Mother prayed; along with other believers friends and family alike and 7years later dad is alive and well and has his head screwed on straight. I however advise women to learn to walk away on time before bringing kids into the world for cruel unjust men. Anyhow; keep praying. But remember God gave us authority to make certain decisions and some pain we go through unnecessarily through bad ones.
