Dear Lord, I am desperately in need of a large dose of divine strength, patience, and tactfulness as well as an enhancement to my listening skills and general wherewithal in dealing with some of my coworkers daily grievances. Please assist me to not only hear their concerns better, but also to understand, identify with, be more empathetic to, and — most importantly — respond with more tactfulness and caring regardless of whether I deem these concerns are actually warranted or not. Assist me in finding the path to the closest I — as a mortal, sinning, human child of God — can come to emulating even just 1/1,000,000,000 of an order of magnitude in fairness, justness, and righteousness you would impart into the situation. And only you know I try my hardest to understand the whys and why nots of my colleagues and also adjust my level of expectation in most situations, but please impart in me a new fortitude of understanding, comprehension, compassion, and — most importantly — the ability to be vessel-like in conveying your ultimate message. Amen
