Dear Lord, you know how our family needs you right now. My husband is suffering greatly after completing three rounds of chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer last December. Treatment will extend his life which our family is very grateful for. The oncologist says his condition is inoperable though. I thank you that the cancer has not spread after a recent CT scan. I’m a spiritual person, go to church and pray daily; however my faith is not as strong as it could be. I have also been sick but am thankful for ongoing healing after a near death experience (severe pancreatatis) six months ago and surgery in January. In addition to my husbands cancer and my recent health problems, I lost my dear mother last year. I pray for my husband. He is so sick at times that I don’t know what to do. I ask that you give him comfort, freedom from pain or help to endure it and peace in his soul. He does not attend church but I know he knows you personally. He’s reluctant to talk about spiritual matters which I wish he was more open about. I love you and ask your forgiveness for my sins. Amen.
