I need prayers of help from the Holy Spirit for strength and courage in my weakness because I have to tell an acquaintance how her overbearing personality treats me like an employee and not a I friend. I’ve only known this lady for 6 months since I moved into a new community where she lives. Because she is somewhat disabled (by choice, I’ve witnessed) she has a lot of living assistance. She has nurses, nurses aides, housekeeping (help with cleaning house, washing clothes, prepared 3 meals a day) a driver who takes her shopping and metro mobility at her beckon call. Yet she is constantly TELLING me to do things for her like help organize her closets and home, decorating, returning items to stores,cook foods for her, take her places and go shopping for her. At first I did it because she is elderly UNTIL I recognized she was treating me like her employee. No sooner did I do something for her when already she had 1 or 2 other things lined up for me to do. I started to feel overwhelmed and tried to explain to her on several occasions that I was busy, had company, or having issues but she doesn’t listen to me. I have witnessed that she treats everyone just like me and is rude. She has no social boundaries and no respect to others, even our administration. She constantly complains about everything.I became frustrated and angry. I also learned that I had to set boundaries for myself. I am avoiding her now but she thinks I’m mad at her, I’m not but need to clarify that I wanted to be a friend not an employee. Please pray for both of us.
