Recently, my friend was diagnosed with cancer, she is so important to me and i would do anything for her to get better, she told me that she would watch over me and guide me through life if anything did happen, this made me think about the existantce of The Lord, Ive always believed but recently I have become more interested in Christianity, I went to a resitdental that was a christian community, i enojoyed the presence of christians and found reading the bible refreshing.
Since i returned home I want to begin to prayer more often, for my friend, relationship, family and thanking The Lord for each day he gives us. I’m not to sure how to prayer but i make sure im in a quiet enviroment with no one around me, any tips would be most appretiated.
I have found throughout my life that prayer warriors are not always found in high church positions, charismatic groups, evangelical seminars or Christian conferences, but in everyday sincere and believing people who have moved towards Jesus and found him as their comforter, friend, partner and saviour. There is father-son or father-daughter relationship formed which is trusting and safe. The art of prayer is not about fancy robes and jingling positions of church authority, but about simplicity, humility and belief and asking. The centurion came to Jesus in belief for his son, the woman touched the garment of Jesus for her sickness, the blind were given sight and evil spirits fled at the presence of Jesus. In every human encounter with Jesus, there was a heart felt need that only the mighty physician could help, which was so. These gospel stories of hope need to be read, believed and kept within your heart and mind. Similarly, Mary the Mother of Jesus, kept all these things in her mind, pondering them in her heart. These help to support and increase the belief of your prayer life, to support prayers of healing in your case. Jesus simply says: “Come to me and ask, and find”, even if it is unto death. So my tip for you is not to try so hard in prayer, simply to persist with whatever level of belief you have, and let God do the rest. God is fully aware that you are on the road to him and does not expect you to know how to evangelise the world or heal all sick people, because that is actually his job. Therefore continue to pray with your friend, believing together because where two or three are gathered together, there I am (Your Jesus) is in the midst of you, listening and waiting to take action.
Jodes, what a wonderful story and opportunity you have. You are alive and strive to keep it that way, for your loved ones and yourself. My tip for you, regarding prayer, is to devote as much time as possible to prayer, especially in these times. Prayer is most needed to save souls and to receive graces. Ask for God’s graces, for yourself and for others, to know His will and to ask for His mercy, on you and on the whole world. Contemplative prayer, in private and sincere and undistracted is a wonderful environment. Also, talk to God and all of our heavenly helpers to our salvation, throughout your day.
The perfect prayer, the Peter Noster, or Our Father, and some argue the only prayer we need, is found at these verses: Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4.
The Holy Rosary is also a very powerful prayer and is credited with many miracles and is promised to save sinners. I hope you will also pray the Holy Rosary: http://www.theholyrosary.org/

Praying for healing.
You are a strong soul and I pray for your comfort. I pray that you will find strength to be there while your friend is going through this, and to find peace in the Lord that he has a plan and knows what to do. You will do great things for your friend by being there as support and I will and do pray that you can find new ways to be there in ways she needs even if she doesn’t know it yet.
