My neighbour seems to be suffering from the dementia and is constantly accusing my boys of stealing his car parts and replacing with old parts – when asked for evidence, and is pointed to his CCTV he says they have also gone into his home and erased the footage from the camera. All this is physically impossible and my children have no inclination to steal anyone’s property. My children have actually checked up on him to make sure he is ok in the past as he had been sickly and suffered a heart attack a few years ago.
His mechanic has told him that the parts in the vehicle are the parts he purchased which are new parts but he insists.
He is a long time drug user and a current alcoholic also.
It sounds ridiculous and something to not bother with but he has called the police and the neighborhood gangsters on them. The police realized something was off only after another neighbor told them he accused her son of stealing his dog food and he accuses another neighbor of having a key to his home which he uses to steal items when he is out.
Our police tend to be very harsh on young boys in our area and so even though my boys are gainfully employed and in no way associated with any undesirable groups, it is worrying as he is telling everyone in the neighborhood and in the wider community. This time the police that responded were understanding and realized the situation but I worry that another policeman may not listen to hear my sons’ side.
His sister says she knows he is demented but she is afraid of him so she cannot help by talking to him and others who have tried have not gotten through to him.
Praying for protection and the situation be resolved in some positive way.
