Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you again today to ask for your help mending the fences with my wife. As you know, we have hit a rough spot in our marriage. Please help her open her arms up to you so that she can see what we have is special, even though we were rushed into parenthood 4 years ago and never got the opportunity to connect the way she would have liked. I wish that she would not compare us to other married couples, as everyone is different and unique. When we met, she had a daughter from a previous relationship, so we connected as a family quicker than we should have, neglecting our own needs. Then a few short months later you blessed us with our youngest daughter. I know Lord that in her mind, we married only because of our daughter, but it was much more than that. I found my best friend, my soul mate, and my biggest cheerleader. Please show her the light and that our journey is not ready to end. Please give me the strength to stand tall, waiting for her to realize how strong our relationship can grow, how our foundation is in place for a life of happiness.
Thank you for hearing my prayer again this morning Lord. And thank you for standing by my side through this very tough time in our lives.
