Prayer for Reconciliation and Restoration of my Marriage.

Dear Lord,

Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a heavy heart; my marriage is in trouble, and am in dire need of your help. As the appointed leader of my household, create in me a clean heart. Draw me closer to you. Teach me how the Gospel is supposed to be applied in my life. The Gospel is the only thing that can make men whole. Make changes in my wife D’s heart.

Reconcile her heart to you. Make us compatible again, and bring us closer together. Fill us with your love and give us the strength to love one another, care for one another, and fulfill your destiny for us. Bring revelation to our sins. Show us the harm caused by careless words, and the pain caused by emotional and physical distance.

Although I am not worthy to ask anything of you, I know that your unconditional love will help guide me through this time of despair. I beg of you to take mercy on me and restore my marriage to something that is 10 times better than what it once was. If with my anger and bad character I pushed my wife D away, please help me bring her and her love back through my love and devotion to you first then her second.

Please stop her wandering eyes and heart from communicating with her co-worker at late hours of the night. Help her love me better than she once did. If she is truly cheating with her co-worker, I beg of you my Lord to help guide her heart, mind and steps to your gospel and the sanctity of our marriage. Please place an insurmountable wedge between her and co-worker. Bring your conviction on both of their hearts.

I ask you to help me be a better husband and person to her so that she forgives all of my offenses. Help me to consistently love my wife like Christ loves the church. Lord, through the power of your Holy Spirit, please remove the bondages of Satan that are on my wife. Please remove the scales from her eyes that are preventing her from seeing the capabilities of your power and your ability of restoration through the gospel.

Please pray that my heart’s desire be granted, the return of the love of my life, my one true love under the same roof. I pray that you help my wife heal her wounds from the past and forgive all that has gone wrong. Lord, enable my wife to be obedient to your will. Give her a renewed desire to love me and permanently return to me to be forever reconciled as one, as husband and wife.

I give myself, my wife D, our children and all of my troubles to you my Lord to do with as you see fit. Lord I trust and believe that your will is for our marriage to be restored.
