Prayer for Peace in my Heart

Lord, bring me peace in my heart. At times my life seems clouded with doubt and anxiety, so many paths, which one to choose.

An yet the choices must be made and the path must be walked if we are not to stay still.

Allow me to be brave lord. Allow me to be open to all the possibilties in my life. Allow me to walk the road that radiates with most joy and happiness.

When my mind is clouded bring me into the sunshine and remove my worries. Allow me to see the path that is right for me and walk it with courage and integrity.

Bring me peace in my heart, knowing that your love is with me always and this is the only truth that needs to be understood.

Hold me in the palm of your hand and carry me on my journey to a place of peace and tranquility.

  1. Thank you

Thank you for sharing this prayer. It is exactly what I am in need of at this difficult time in my life. I am glad I read it and will read it often because I know it does help me feel better.

  2. You are on the right path!

You have done the right thing in asking God to help direct your choices in life! My advice is, when confronted by an important Life Decision, first, go to God exactly like you did in this prayer. Accept the fact that God has given you all the needed information and the mental capacity to make the right decision – if you have to, make two lists on the left and right side of a piece of paper. On the left, list all the pros of your decision, and on the right, list the cons. This will help to clarify ability to make the right decision. Then ask God to direct you in your choice, and go for it! No matter what, God is there for you!

Being Human, we are still going to make mistakes. But by having God lead our steps, we will never stray too far off the path God has for us.

And, remember also, making mistakes is how we learn – and I might add, I’ve learned a LOT from my mistakes!

May God bless you and keep your mistakes to a minimum.

  3. thanks for sharing your prayer!

I liked your prayer, it helped me too. I have similar struggles. There is great wisdom in your statement: “knowing that your love is with me always and this is the only truth that needs to be understood.”

No matter what path you choose to walk down, as long as you feel that connection with God and that Truth, the path will be right for you. So, be calm in your heart. There is nothing else you need to do or know to be whole. It’s already inside you, you carry everything you need with you wherever you go. There are no mistakes, just different things to learn.

Also, I like St. Teresa’s Prayer when seeking answers & reassurances about which path to take in life, m/b you’ll like it too:
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Hope this helps! May God bless you and fill you with peace!

How do you ask a prayer for healing in my heart. How you ask for a prayer to live better. I cry alot lately. I’m lonely wishing for someone to love. I’m always scratch to pay bills. God I need you.

  5. Thank you

An awesome prayer! It was just what I needed. I will be confident & bold …. I will be at peace with the path the Lord has for me. I am fearfully & wonderfully made in His image… The scripture that comes to mind with this prayer starts like: “I know the plans I have for you”…
