Prayer for Peace and Healing

Dear God I pray for your peace to cover me and my daughters during our time of loss. I am so sad and broken and afraid Lord, we all are. Sometimes I feel paralyzed with fear and pain and helpless to do anything about it. I want to trust in you Lord to bring us peace, and healing through this awful time in our lives.

Please keep us together Lord so that I can be there for my daughters at all times. Please protect us from those that would want to tear us apart. Help our hearts to heal and be able to pick up the pieces of our lives and find peace again. In your holy names I pray, Amen.

  2. Forging a Path to Heaven

First of all, I would like to offer my sincerest heartfelt condolosence. The pain of losing your husband, their father, is unbearable….I know…my dad just passed away on the 27 of Dec. 2013 and my mother, my brother and myself are dealing with the grief. Everyday is a painful struggle, especially the paper trail…”changing or taking name off an account” having to tell why and hold back the tears. There’s so much left undone, it’s overwhelming, a big part of us is missing! But…..
I take comfort in something my pastor said during the funeral….”That as a father…he has gone before us to forge a path to Heaven, to prepare our home there with God.”
So as most fathers to protect his on behalf of his family and make everything perfect with God. I know my father is in Heaven and will interven on our behalf when our time comes. I take comfort knowing dad is there and it is like I have another Angel watching over me. I’ll pray for comfort and serenity for your family. Hold tight to God’s hand and He will lift you up from the sorrow. Again my deepest sympathy.
