Prayer for parents divorcing

by Diana (Miami)

hey my name is Diana. I am 12 years old. I am writing this because my parents just got divorced, my mom, little brother, and me are going through rough times now since my dad has left. plus, my dad doesn’t give money to buy what is needed for us and the house, the only thing he cares about is his drugs and his girlfriend.

We are going to lose the house pretty soon and he doesn’t care. I will like if you can pray for my dad can get better and for my mom to have faith in god because she sometimes feels like killing herself because of the things she has had to go through with my dad.

  1. the separate parent

I am a mom of two boys n I’m going Thur a divorce as we speak. My older boy is 11 and my youngest is two. It seems like a lot of fathers are doing that kinda thing , where they leave and abandoned their first wives and children for drugs and girlfriends. Lil one know this that because you are so young and to know Christ and to step up and even ask for prayers for you mom. I salute you for that. God (your ultimate father) sees your tears and those of Ur brother and mother he collect them in a jar. That is how precious you are to him trust me when I say that the ultimate father will defend his children and will give back everything the devil has stolen from you. I will be saying a special prayer for your momma. Lord bless this Lil family who despreatly needs you. In Jesus name amen.

  2. To Diana :)

Hi Diana, my situation was almost the same like yours too! My mom and dad went through a big fight when i was 10 and it was very hard for me. I am the eldest in my siblings and i have 2 younger sisters. My dad had an affair and his girlfriend now is my stepmother. My mom eventually ran away from home bc things was very hard that time. Back then, my dad would go out every night and left my 2 little sisters and I home alone. I remember everynight i would pray to God so that he can take my life away during sleeping. But he didnt. Things become a little bit easier now and thank God i can meet my mother again. Im 15 now and im gonna live with my mom again. Stay strong Diana, don’t lose hope and i am sure, things gonna get better again 🙂

  4. Prayer for divorce

My parents divorced when I was around your age. I know how difficult divorce is. I also know what it’s like to watch your Mom go through a very difficult time. You are in a much better position with your faith than I was. It took me until age 40 to find our Lord. I made tremendous mistakes my entire life because of the divorce and my lack of Christ in my life. Stay close to Him and He will get you through this. Pray to the Blessed Mother and she will protect you. Do the best you can to never stray away from God and He will take care of you. I will pray a rosary for you before the Blessed Sacrement and ask Jesus to help you. He loves you more than you can begin to imagine and He is your Father. Keep praying for your Dad too. God bless you little love.

  10. Hi diana

My parents are going through same exact things right now. My dad snuck out at nights to see his girlfriend when he was still married. I haven’t seen him in 3 months. He has also done a lot of other bad stuff. So I started praying too for him a little bit. But, everything happens for a reason. People come in and out of your life for a reason. And when they stay out, it doesn’t mean they come back in. It depends on God, and God sees whether your dad deserves it or not to come back in.

  11. Plant your seed

God will come and take care of yourself. When times are at the worst relinquish your dad of all the expectations you all have for him. Say to yourself, he does not it in him to be who you kids and your mom need right now. Not a provider, not a leader, not a friend, not a protector. This hard but it helps you not need him and be able to forgive him. God is your father and will guide you. We too are going through a divorce, my little boy is 12 too. It’s really hard at times, but I tell all 3 of my kids we are going to grow a garden, but first, we will hit bottom hard (the dirt) and that is when we will plant our seed. Living with strength and good character will give you the nourishment for all our flowers to grow and bloom into a beautiful garden. We lost our home and are in a simple apartment now, way different and sad, but when our garden is blooming we will be happy in our lives, love each other and rebuild it back to what we have now and better. Your dad made bad choices and your mom will heal, remind her it is not a reflection of her, And she will feel better in time. Especially, if your kids are helping and happy, it will be easier for her. Give her hope and it will come back to you. Pray with your siblings every night and be an angel to lift everyone’s spirits and you will be blessed. Cry when it hurts and say, this is where I get to plant my seed, WATCH MY GARDEN GROW! ❤️
God bless this family and wrap your arms around them to help them heal and live happily.
