Prayer for My Granddaughter

by Sally ()

Father, I lift up my granddaughter whom I love dearly. As You know, she has an attitude problem with her family members to include me. She is bossy, inconsiderate, demanding, and disrespectful. She has not made a profession of faith, Father. I come to You at this moment pleading with You to reach down and wrap her in Your loving arms and draw her ever so close to You. Cause her to feel Your presence with her; cause her to understand and grasp Your redemption plan. She knows about Jesus and how You sent Him to live among us then die on the cross shedding His blood as a living sacrifice to wipe away all of our sins and to make us acceptable unto You. Father, I ask You to make this so real to her, that she will be so convicted of her sins and that Jesus died for her so that her sins will be forgiven and she will be Your child and will be given a new life to be transformed into the image of Christ and have the Holy Spirit dwelling within her. I ask that You give her a deep love and hunger for You, for Jesus, Your Word, Your Kingdom, Your Will for her life, and Your Redemption Plan. Cause her to have a love for others and a desire to do unto them as she would have them do unto her. Father, I ask that You keep her on the path that You planned for her life even before she was born. I ask that You protect her from Satan and all his minions, from all evil to include evil temptations; and harmful intentions of any kind. I ask that You protect her from physical and mental harm, injury, and illness. Father surround her with guardian angels and with an impenetrable ring of Your love. Keep Your hand upon her Father and cause her life to bring You honor and glory. Father, I ask that she, all her family members, her friends, her spouse to be and all her descendants and their spouses be saved from their sins to be with You for ever and ever. Father, I ask that her life will be a beacon of light drawing others to You. Father, it is my desire to trust You with both my granddaughters and my daughter. It is my desire that we all know what it is to abide in You and to seek You first in our lives. Forgive us for our wrongdoings, for anything in our lives that is offensive to You in any way. Don’t let us stray from Your plans for our lives. In Jesus’ name I pray. Thank You, Jesus. Amen
