Heavenly Father,
I dedicate the Mother’s Day holiday in prayer as a tribute to all mothers throughout the nation in the name of Jesus Christ; may You fill their day with love, joy, and peace.
Thank You for our mothers; You gave them to us as a gift to give us birth and raise us throughout our life. May the Holy Spirit remind us to keep the commandment to honor our mothers, not just on Mother’s Day but every day of our life.
May You allow Mother’s Day to be a day of reconciliation for estranged relationships between mothers and children. Grant them the spirit to make peace by setting aside all differences and forgiving grievances they have made against each other. May You bring a new start to their relationships and bring them love, harmony, and unity.
May You allow Mother’s Day to be a day of remembrance for bereaved mothers and children: mothers mourning the loss of their children and children for the loss of their mothers. Give them peace and comfort as they grieve; give them a spirit of rejoicing because You have given a home to their loved ones in heaven with You, a place where love, joy, happiness, goodness, peace, and everlasting life reigns forever. May they remember and cherish all the good times they had with their children or mothers.
Psalm 113:9 stated that You grant a barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children; may You bring joy to all infertile women desiring to be mothers by giving them children to adopt as a gift on Mother’s Day. May You provide a safe, happy home for all adoptive mothers to raise children.
