Please pray for my wife Patricia. She is addicted to alcohol, but in deep denial of her illness.
She was previously diagnosed with depression and last year tried to commit suicide. She got help for her depression and has been prescribed medication, but after her 6 week treatment program she has continued to drink.
Her drinking has become progressively worse and is now counteracting the effects of her medication.
Please pray that the Lord will deliver her from her addiction. Pray that the Lord will let her see through the fog of denial and see that her addiction is destroying her and her family. Pray that the Lord will give her strength and the desire to get help and to give up alcohol for the rest of her life.
Lord, please deliver her, her children, and me from this illness.
Catherine thank you for your prayer, comments, and adivce. I have been attending Al-anon meetings since September of last year and they are helping. I am trying to get my children to attend Ala-Teen, but meetings are few and far between where we live.
We have a re-hab center picked out. My wife was there previously before relapsing. My daughter and I have asked her to return to rehab, but we are being met with extreme rage, manipulation, and excuses.
Thank you for your prayers. Since you are one who knows what my wife is going through, I appreciate them even more. Please pray that the Lord will open her eyes to see through the veil of denial she is living under and give her His peace and comfort as well as the strength to get help.

I am praying for your wife. I am a recovering alcoholic woman who has been sober almost 11 years. It is a terrible disease–the only disease that tells it’s victim that they don’t have a disease. Try to hang in there. I know it’s hard, but she needs you more now than ever.
Living with an alcoholic is the worst experience. My sons and I have been dealing with their mother, my wife, and her disease for many years. God be with you and bless you.
Need prayers for my marriage and wife Amy Akens who left me and moved out of state and started drinking I ask that you will pray for her to stop drinking and turn her life over to the lord and pray that she will turn back to me her loving husband
