Dear God,
As I sit with my dad for what I know is his last time on earth, I pray that you give him peace and relieve his pain and discomfort. Lift him up, Lord, that he may join you for eternity. Let him know your mercy and love, Lord, and reunite him with you and his family. Please take away his pain, and let him see your light. Cleanse him of his sins, Lord, and grant him peaceful passage to your kingdom.
