I pray for our home to be given to us this week. My daughter and I have been homeless for almost a year and we were blessed with an opportunity to finally be housed. After living in a shelter, we were selected for a housing program and found an apartment property willing to work with us. And we were approved! We were even given our apartment number. That was 2 months ago and we have been told various move in dates but are still waiting for the chance to move in. Since then, we were living in motels until I could no longer afford it, I was let go from my job, I had to have my daughter stay with my sister for a few days that’s turned into 2 weeks and counting, and I’ve been living everywhere from the streets to people’s houses who would allow me a day or two. Now, there’s been talk that my case and one other was a denial by the county and threatens our chances of moving in. My case worker has said to give her a few days to straighten this out with the help of her director and other colleagues, I’m just really scared I don’t have a few more days. I have nowhere for us to go and I know people’s patience can wear thin when you’re in need. We need our home. I humbly ask for prayer from this community that we are blessed to move into our home this week. Thank you so much. God bless you.
