Nearing the end

by Emily Levitt ()

Father, I am lost as to how to pray. I know that my days are drawing shorter and shorter. At least that is how it feels. Only you know the day and hour. I want to be ready to come into your house. If I am not ready, please open my heart and help me confess my sins. I want to see you as you promised through the death and resurrection of your Son, Jesus.
Father, I am sorry for the things that I have done that has hurt you, and caused me to fall away from you. I only want to be near you, and want to obey you in order to be near you. What must I do, Father?I pray for the strength to surrender all to you. Thank you, Jesus, for your obedience to your Father. Help me, Jesus, stay focused on you and being obedient to your voice. You are my help in times of trouble and I look to the hills where my help comes from. Only you know my future. Please give me the strength to follow you always. I love you, my Jesus, who saved me from eternal damnation. Your child, Emily
