In need of prayer for my relationship with my boyfriend. We have been dating for 2 years. He wants to get married but we have issues to work through. He is a widower and has a grown son who battles mental health issues that he cares for. I haven’t ever had to deal with someone like that and we both have our own homes and if we marry he wants us to sell our homes and to get something together. I have lived in my home since I was a kid. Since my parents died I inherited the house. I find it difficult to move out of my house and move somewhere else. I don’t have a peace about it. He doesn’t want to move to my house because he is older and can’t keep up with the repairs and feels like the house is too big for us to handle since he is in his 60s and I am in my 50s. I love and care about him and don’t want to hurt him but I am not sure what to do. It’s a very hard decision to make. I am even thinking about seeking counseling to help me make a decision. I am torn on what to do. Need to hear God voice on what to do then courage to do it. Please pray for me. Thank you for praying.

Don’t give up your home. You continue to have peace not stress . Because that is what I see in your future if you give up your home, marry or live with your boyfriend and being a caregiver to his son. Keep the relationship the way it is. If it don’t work out, it wasn’t meant to be. Would he make that change for you, if it was the other way around? I don’t think so.
