I have a 17 year old daughter who has not spoken to me in the past few years. I was only in her life until she was 4 years old before her mother got married and moved to another state. Every year I have reached out to her, but never get any responses and I feel like just giving up and letting her go because I don’t think she cares for me or loves me or even wants to get to know me. I am not sure what to do and next month she will be 18yrs old. I always reached out to her every year, but I feel her mother has turned her against me because I did not want to marry her back when she was born. It hurts my heart not to be close to her. I feel sad because of this and I feel her mother did this intentionally to keep me out of her life. I once heard her (the mother) say to my daughter – We don’t need him anymore right? I still love my daughter despite not loving her mother and she is my only child that I care very much for. Please pray that she will be covered and come to know Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
