I pray now at every chance I get in private ,for help with my relationship

I was brought up a catholic but have strayed from the church,I pray now at every chance I get in private ,for help with my relationship,my partner has left me because I was ignorant of her feeling,,she is presently induring hardship,because of the break up,,,I pray for her love and ner forgivness now and at every opertunity I have,,and reading above I am doing it wrong,my prayers are repetative,but from child hood I only remember a few prayers
