Father in Heaven,
My heart is broken and it seems my marriage is as well. My husband and I are always at odds anymore, misunderstanding each other, not communicating, getting angry, and after 45 years, it seems we are headed for divorce. Father, please help us in this time of need to hold our tongues and not let anger rule us, to listen completely to each other with our whole hearts and minds, to believe the best of each other at all times, and to find the joy in spending time with each other that we had for many years. Help us to believe in love again, Lord, to understand that we are part of your greater plan, and to be open to healing our once beautiful union. Please God, help my husband let go of my past, a past that happened before I met the love of my life and married him. Please give my husband peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
