Please pray for my grandson Gunnar. He was adopted by my son and daughter-in-law two years after he started foster care with them when he was two. He has a severe birth defect in which he had most of his intestine removed. He cannot absorb nutrients as he should and is thus rather small. He is a spitfire, though, but he is on many meds and a special diet. I pray for him to gain weight continually and for the Lord to do a miracle in his little nine-year-old body.
Another request is for a baby they are currently fostering and hope to adopt. This little guy is fourteen months old and has been with the family since a month old. We are the only family he knows. My son would love to adopt him, but the baby’s mother still wants him, understandably. However, she is a drug addict and has not as yet recovered from it though she has tried several times. She is currently in rehab. While I would never pray for her to not overcome her addiction, I do pray she would see how settled this little guy is with our family and would relinquish rights so we can adopt him. I pray for the Lord to allow him to be with the family who can care for him and love him best. His name is Remi.
