I need to forgive my soon to be ex-husband of 47 years in breaking our covenant marriage with a dear friend of mine. They both think that they are good in the Lord. My heart breaks for my children and their families. My oldest grandson, age 14, is struggling knowing that his grandfather was a senior deacon at our church, taught Sunday School and led services when needed. My ex told me that he was tired of being a fake, that he no longer loved me and there would be no reconciliation. I would never go back to him for he verbally, mentally, and emotionally abused me for years. I am not going to rehash all of what he did or said. What I need to do is to forgive and move on. My love for him still controls my thoughts. I do not like the man he is but I cannot help but love the man that I have been married to for so long praying and believing for my marriage. My heart is broken but I know that our Lord will heal me as well as my children and grandchildren. Thank you for praying.
