Both my daughter and son in law are Christians. For a few years now I’ve been noticing that my son in law shows signs of controlling behaviour over my daughter and granddaughter. He seems critical and judgemental towards her and overrides her when my daughter corrects their daughter’s behaviour. The other day I went to their apartment to visit them and my granddaughter, and he smelled of marijuana and said he was destressing. He went into another room to work, but not before telling my daughter to include their daughter in my visit – insinuating my daughter would ignore her own daughter while I was there. He then left his office door slightly open so he could hear our conversation and from that room criticized something my daughter was saying. I am asking for prayer to cover my daughter and granddaughter in protection of their mental and emotional health and healing for both. My daughter is expecting their second child due in May. Its been a hard pregnancy – she is tired and has experienced fainting spells. I ask for prayer to convict my son in law of his critical control of his family. My daughter’s dream for her family is for them to buy their first home. She really wants a home they own. Also, my ex husband is treating my daughter in a way that is hurting her and she is struggling how to navigate this and create healthy boundaries with her dad. He divorced me 13 years ago (I have been struggling financially since then because I was a stay home mom and he was the one with the career) and married a man and he expects everyone to support his lifestyle. But my daughter does not want her children around him for too long and I agree with her. Thank you for praying for us. Please pray to stop the enemy from causing mental abuse, oppression and family division
