COVID-19 Burnout

by Deborah ()

First thank the Lord it’s Spring! Your daily devotions have kept me going and strengthened me greatly this past year. Over the past 3 to 4 months, I began to feel a darkness: blue days, lots of rain, limited sunshine. At the end of 2020, like so many people, I had mourned the passing of several loved ones and friends. Not one of my personal losses was due to COVID-19, but the pandemic strongly impacted how we were able to say our farewells. COVID-19 did not end in 2020, it is still with us and still greatly impacting lives. My prayers of patience while waiting; “be anxious for nothing”; “Jesus is our peace in the time of every storm”; “fear not I am with you”; it’s getting a little more difficult to encourage others. My immediate family of three adults have been blessed, yet I’m feeling COVID-19 burnout. I know the Light of Jesus far out shines the darkness, but the darkness can be so overwhelming at times. Thank you… 🌞
