Building Relations with my Family

by Cheyenne (Illinois)

Dear Lord,
I ask you right now to come into my heart, and cleanse me inside out. I ask you to help my parents be able to forgive me for all the times I’ve done wrong. I’ve disobeyed my family too many times, and it’s time I take steps to becoming a better daughter. I ask you to give me the strength to fight off any temptations, and to give me the strength to fight off the devil. Because of me, I am destroying my relationships with my family, and I don’t want to lose them. I ask you to help me to respect my parents and do whatever they ask me to do without any attitude. I ask you to help talk to my mom without any body language and sound effects. I ask you to help me not be afraid anymore, because 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.” Restore in me a new heart, and a new mind with a new way of thinking. From this day forward, I am for You, and You are for me. And if God if with me, then who shall be against me? I know that I’ve ask my mom for forgiveness so many times, she hates the word. So i ask you to help me show my apology in a way without words. I know we have a long way to go to rebuild any trust that my mom may have had for me, and I ask you to help her at least love me again. I don’t want to lose my mom forever. Not when I need her the most. Thank you for helping me get through the hard times and giving me the strength to build relationships again. I’m starting over new.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
