Our oldest daughter has very close friends who are having extremely serious health issues and they need our prayers.
Please lift these young people up in prayer:
Bobby has had several serious heart issues recently. A few weeks ago the doctors told him he would need triple bypass surgery soon. He had an MRI yesterday and this morning (Thursday) he will meet with the Heart Failure Specialist.
Now, his wife Amanda (who went through several infertility treatments) is currently 23 weeks pregnant and has been bleeding. She is in the hospital now and apparently it appears that her cervics has shortened to a level that indicates her body is preparing for delivery. She is on steroid shots to help Lily’s (the baby) heart get stronger and will have more tests done today and tomorrow. They want to keep Amanda in the hospital for constant monitoring. The doctors will let her know what options she has and what their next steps will be today. A 23 week delivery would be extremely risky and dangerous for the baby to survive.
Her husband Bobby is struggling emotionally because he wants to stay close to his wife and baby, yet he needs to make sure he is doing what is best for his heart.
Please pray for Amanda and Bobby to have peace of mind throughout this process that everything will turn out alright and that her body responds to the treatments so the baby will not be delivered at such an early date. Also, that Bobby’s doctors are able to make the right decisions for his future.
