Even when I don’t understand what you are doing in my life, I praise you for your faithfulness and power. When I feel disappointed, I will remember your steadfast love. Help me to trust that you are ordering my steps according to your perfect plan for my life.
You are my Faithful Shepherd; give me the grace I need to trust your leading. Thank you for the doors you open and for the doors you close.
Comfort and strengthen my heart today. When discouragement and doubt come, help me believe you have good plans to bring blessing into my life. Enable me to take courage as I wait on you to act in response to my prayers.
Lord, take me by the hand and lead me down the path that you have chosen for me. Show me when it is time to wait and when I need to move ahead. Thank you for your faithful and steadfast love. I will rest in it today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In Jesus’ Name,
What if we start right now? Let’s pray:
Lord, right now I will choose to praise you for your great goodness and lovingkindness. You know my circumstances, and I thank you because I can rest in your power and care over every aspect of my life.
God, I praise you for your wisdom, which has designed my circumstances to shape me for your glory and help me get to know you better. I praise you for your steadfast love, which surrounds me every minute of the day. Thank you for being with me.
Thank you, Jesus, for showing your love by dying on the cross for me. I praise you for the power of your blood which rescues me from sin and death. I remember the power that raised Jesus from the dead and lives in me to make me an overcomer.
Lord, thank you for the blessings and grace you so freely give. Forgive me for complaining over my circumstances. May my meditation today be pleasing to you as I praise you and remember your goodness to me.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for giving your son Jesus Christ to be our living hope. We do not deserve the sacrifice he made for us, but you loved us enough to allow him to pay the price for our sin. Although we may never fully grasp the magnitude of his gift, we have hope because of Jesus.
Lord, we wait expectantly for Jesus’ return. We long for the day we will see him face to face. That is the confident hope Paul talks about in his letter to the church. “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.” (Ephesians 1:18) Help us to keep the light of Jesus in our hearts so we do not lose hope. The world may not see this hope right now, but through us may everyone discover and know the eternal hope of our Savior.
It’s hard to rediscover hope when bad things happen. But your word confirms that your goodness prevails through it all. You never forget the needs of your people. Psalm 9:18 says, “But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.” Thank you for this promise that even in the darkest times, hope will ultimately win.
When we feel ourselves giving in to discouragement, help us claim the words of Psalm 33:20, “We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield.” Today, tomorrow, and in the future to come, our hope remains in you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
