Healing and encouragement

by David ()

First, praise to God for delivering a miracle for my wife. Three months ago she needed to be taken to the emergency and was diagnosed with a critical heart condition and was told she was terminal. But the next day she began to turn around, and after a month her tests showed no heart damage or blockage. Thanks and praise to God for this miracle!

Unfortunately her recovery hasn’t been as miraculous, and so the reason for my request. After 6 weeks in a care center she’s shown no signs of improvement. Her physical therapists have given up on her, and she is now totally disabled physically and is beginning to show signs of dementia. She wants to come home, but it breaks my heart that she is needs to remain in long term care, and is slowly slipping away.

My prayer is for her total recovery, physically and mentally, and for God’s grace to see me through this trial for her sake. We are both Christians (we met while I was a church music minister, and just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this year) and do believe in miracles, but our faith is now being severely tested. To see your wife slowly deteriorate right before your eyes is unbearable.

Thanks to you and all of our friends and relatives who continue to pray for both of us, and to Jesus and the Father for promises to help with any and all present challenges. No matter what happens in the future, our eternal salvation is guaranteed. But for now, my wife and I are hurting terribly.
