In October my mother fell and broke her hip, she went to rehab but was non compliant. She refused to do exercises, eat, or sometimes take her medication. She is home with me now and had been doing better. This week she wouldn’t drink water and had to have an IV. She has an open bed sore from her time in the hospital. Her blood work Thursday said her thyroid was too low and she is a little anemic. The thyroid is causing dementia symptoms, she does not have dementia nor any sign of it before her health problems. Today she is refusing to take her medication or drink water. She is threatening to hit me and has slapped at me when I tried to give her meds. She is being very hateful. This is not her personality at all. She has always been a loving mother. She also has some heart and kidney problems. Please pray for her. Rehab is not an option as she almost died there when they kept giving her aspirin even though there were hospital records telling that she has bleeds when she takes aspirin. We want to her to get better.
